i hadn't washed my bike in 2 months so i got around to it yesterday evening.( i didn't shoot water into my intake or exhaust for those who are helping me trouble shoot). i get on it to turn it on and it wasnt turning over. (if im using the correct term) so i held the trottle open and the engine reved once. then i thought use the choke and hold the ignition. it finally turn over after 20 seconds or so. this is relatively newish old bike. 8k miles on it, maintained and i just got its oil changed a couple of days ago. im gonna take the bus today cause im not sure what happened there. i dont want it to happen again when im far off. so while im at work. maybe some can list why that could have happened? thanks

info:2002 gsxr-600

on second thought the front was pretty dirty so i might have got some water in the intake?

I'd say you got water in your electrics system. You said it didn't turn over, did the engine crank? Or did it just sit there and do nothing when you pressed the button?
If you did get water in your electrical system, might want to chase down that little gremlin before it gets worse. My vote would be checking the starter switch housing first, see if any water got in there...
