I just purchased a 1997 Nighthawk 750, and I cleaned the carbs because the bike did not want to come down from a high rev. I also replaced the plugs. Now, the bikes seems to be backfiring through one of the carbs. Does anyone have any suggestions? I think the carbs may need to be synced... Any idea how much that would cost at a Honda dealer? I don't have the tools to do that myself. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks.

I'd suggest another carb cleaning. Buy the rebuild kits and a manual and do it right.

Vacuum leak.

Check hoses, carb boots, etc.
