Just wondering what your favourite cycle mag is. I want to get a subscription but every time I have bought a subscription in the past (to any mag) it has disappointed.
Don't mind adds but would like articles that are honest in their reporting. I have found from several mags in the past that articles seem to be biased towards those manufacturers that advertise with the mag.
Any suggestions?

Well, they all end up running the same reviews and releases at the same time - that's what I started finding. So, it got old buying 3 mags with the same content.
That said, I was subscribed to Motorcyclists and I'd pick up Cycle World if it had anything interesting on the cover. I alaso liked Road Bike, but I haven't seen it much lately.

I like Motorcycle Consumer News. They don't take advertising, so their reviews have a chance of being objective. I used to get CycleWorld, but every new bike they reviewed was always groundbreaking, revolutionary, the greatest new thing since...... the last greatest new thing.

It got old.

+1 for RoadBike. I had a subscription for a while. I like that one the best. They dedicate some space to articles for new riders, and they usually review a decent variety of motorcycles. Many times they include a buyer's guide in the back too, which is nice.
The only thing I'm not crazy about are all of the articles on radical customs and choppers

. No thank you. But that's just me.
Haven't checked out the AMA yet. I heard they just went through a re-design. I'll have to check their site out.

I think the British mag TWO (Two Wheels Only) and Bike are light years ahead of any of the magazines that get produced here in America. Motorcycling has gotten better with the new [British] editor.

I used to get Enthusiast, Outlaw Biker, Chopper, Dirt rider, Good times, Supercycle and Easyriders, (I have from Vol.#2 through about 2000 or 2001) but not for years. Now I just get BMW ON, the Spokesman, Dealer News and sometimes Classic Cycle (British) and sometimes Walchecks and Cycle trader. the quality of all Motorcycle rags has gone greatly downhill. I used to like the older mags that actually told how to modify bikes and not just bolt on crap. I have AMA rags back to the mid 50s an d a friend of mine has them and Enthusiast back to mid 30s.
And I too have noticed that the Brit rags are a lot better than ours.
Honestly now I just go to Hasting's when I rent videos and read their rags.

I like Bike from the UK, but pb (Performance bikes) also from the UK is growng on me in a big way.
pb shows bikes people are working on, modifying, in all differetn types of ways. Last great bike I saw was in pb. some danish guys doing custom naked bikes, from older air cooled muscle bikes, but with modern brakes and suspension. Rough and ready.
I'll try to find some pics.

Many rave about American Iron. Motorcyclist is OK.
