When your not riding where do you put your helmet?

If I stop for a coffee it's on the tank.

If I go into a mall Etc. I take it with

I find it to much of a pain to lock onto the bike. But I guess I'de start locking it if it was ever stolen .

If it won't be in sight I have it with me.

My current bike has two of the handiest helmet locks I've ever had the pleasure of using. One of them is under the rim of the saddle which pops up easily with the key. This one I use for passengers. The one I use most often is on the left side of the bike and I can have it hooked and gone in a flash.

Always carry it with me,. If i'm stood with the bike, i'll hang it on the mirror. - Learned the hard way that putting it on the seat is not secure!

I trust other motorcyclists when at a motorcycle event so I'll leave my helmet on the ground on top of my riding gloves by my front tire and check on it every so often to make sure everything is "cool". Bikers do respect other bikers stuff I find.

That being said if I don't feel comfortable leaving my helmet by my bike, other bikers don't seem to give you a untrusting look.

When I'm parking (store, mall, supermarket etc) I'll ALWAYS take my helmet with me as Yamaha designed my exhaust pipes and helmet lock a little too close together (melted helmet). So I just carry it where I go.

At home I store it on the shelf in the closet conviently located by my back door for quick escapes on my motorcycle.

Lock it + my gear in the trunk.

When out and about on the bike -

-locked in the topcase (inclement weather)
-locked to the helmet lock (nice weather)
-carry with me (inclement weather, no room in the topcase)

At home -

-parked on a shelf in the garage next to the main door with the rest of the bike helmets

At home it sits on my workbench, resting over the passenger backrest I took off the bike. Out and about, it gets locked to the bike with a small combination cable lock. Yeah, serious cutters could take it, but you gotta really want a used helmet bad to do that. The wife leaves hers perched on the passenger backrest on her bike.

In my hand... always (except when at home, when it's jus placed at ground level, out of the way)

i just connect the chin strap with the lock for the storage area going through it with the clip inside the box. If that makes any sense
