First time rider

Hi all, I am a first time rider currently possessing my permit and going to take the MSF course in Sept 08. I reside in Vermont. I got into riding when I noticed alot of bikes going through the town I live in, and I told my wife that I wanted to do that. 
She said go ahead 
so I bought my first bike and am in the process of learning the ins and outs of safe motorcycling. I have friends at work who ride and get helpful tips from them when I encounter a problem.
I have found riding to be very relaxing and loads of fun. By the way my first bike is a 1981 Honda Goldwing GL1100, bought it off an elderly gentleman who gave up riding, and I love it. I also enjoy the different forums at this site.
I have to pick and choose when to ride because I work the night shift and with the weather being not so great these past few weeks here any sunny day is just calling for me to hit the road. Unless I am to tired. Thanks for this time and I plan on being here to post updates as I can.
