Hey everybody! A friend told me about the site so I thought I'd check it out.

I just joined too and really, really want a gSXR ; )

I'm a beginner, but am seriously looking at buying my buddy's 600 (2004). He's on facebook (I'm so not), so we're still linking up - I don't know what condition the bike's in yet, but I think I wouldn't choke up so much on a used bike when I drop it, opposed to new.

Eventually I want to get a 750 and stick with that for a while.

I'm reading A LOT about riding, looking at some gear (suomy helmet, teknic wear, sidi boots, etc.). But what do you think, am I starting too big too fast?

I wouldn't recommend getting a 600cc+ sportbike.

There's stories all over the internet as to why it's not a good idea, you may want to do some research before you decide to buy the bike.
