I've noticed that the front wheel on my bike squeeks when I'm riding, like the brake was going out. But the squeek stops when I apply the front brake. Any ideas?

I'm assuming it's a disc front brake? I'm not up on the "T" model.

Could be a bunch of stuff, but it sounds like your brake's rubbing when it's not engaged. If your rotor gets really hot, that's another sign. Try putting the bike on it's centerstand and propping it up so the front wheel is off the ground. See if you can hear it rubbing, and if the wheel spins freely.

There's a screw on the caliper that adjusts how far out it swings. You may be able to adjust that until the pad isn't hitting the rotor. If that doesn't work, the caliper piston may not be retracting, which could require a caliper rebuild, or even a master cylinder rebuild.

I guess it goes without saying, but be real careful messing with your brakes. Take a look at the manual before you do anything.

First thing I would do is take some brake cleaner to the pads. Any oil on the pads either from leaking fork seals or you hands will cause it to squeek. Plus if you disk is blue get a new one.
