Just finished the course last weekend. I have always wanted to ride. And now at age 39 I will...

Well, that's a heavy bike for a first bike. Probably a low CoG, which should help. Bit of unsolicited advice? Put engine guards (crash bars, etc, there's several names for 'em...) on it if it doesn't already have them. Will protect it if you drop it, and also make it easier to pick back up - it won't go all the way over flat on it's side.
