tuning a carb
I've got a 75 honda cb360t. It runs well but I am getting a lot of sooting on my sparkplugs. I put new plugs in after I got it because it was running rough and the old ones were all black. A little more than a week after putting the new plugs in, it started running rough again. I checked the plugs and they are black already. To me this means the carb is running rich, but I don't know which screw to turn to lean the mix. I'm hoping that will fix the problem. Anyone know what I should do, and if it might be another problem?

Ok, got the carb out, so that problem is solved. Back to the original problem, what would be making my plugs black so quickly. Oh yeah, and one of the cylinders isn't working. Its got spark, and there was fuel to the carb, and air. I'm really beginning to not like this old bike.

Do a compression check. If you got fuel air and spark then the only thing you are lacking is compression. That is if the fuel to air ratio is correct.
Im not sure about the carbs on that bike so cant help you with the adjustment.
