After reading and reading I have decided to go with this bike. Do you guys think this is appropriate for a newbie?

It felt great during the test drive (much more comfortable then the Rebels in MSF) and I can pick her up fully dressed for $3600.

yes great first bike,use common sence,it does have enough power to get you out of trouble in interstate traffic, more than enough in town. and a very realiable bike.
