When do MSF courses give you the certificate for completion? Do they mail it to you or give it to you right after so you can go right on to the DMV?

I just cant wait.

At the end (for our class anyway) they give you a certificate of completion that you can show to your insurance company for discounts and get discounts at CycleGear as well. The DMV form (DL389) has to be filed first with the state, so you should get it sometime within a week of finishing the class. I had mine by Wednesday after class (3 days) - probably depends on how quickly your instructor files the papers, mailing, etc.

I had everything I needed for my license at the end of the class. One of the two instructors was a certified examiner for the DMV.

That's going to depend entirely on where you take it. In CA, it's mailed to you within 10 days (I got mine in a week.) Other places you get it at the end of class.

They handed out the certificates at the end of the class, after we had passed both the written and riding portion of the testing. At least that's how it was at the Delta College ones in Michigan.

If you already had your endorsement and your insurance company doesn't give rider training discounts, why keep it?
