Hello everyone. I am new here, I am in the process of slowly refurbishing a 1986 Honda Nighthawk 700. I bought a Honda manual, a book on maintenance, and one on repair the plastic bodywork. It will be awhile before I can actually get on to ride, but Im on a limited income and so I will be working on it at a snails pace. :?
I have been riding since the mid 1980's - first on a 200 and then on a 400. I moved to Hawaii and left the 400 there when I moved back to the Mainland. A friend gave me this motorcycle because I expressed interest in it, and I had helped out a friend of his - so he figured since he was not riding it, and he wanted a bigger bike, he would give me the 700. It IS a big bike, but I think I wil enjoy it.
I am enjoying trying to figure out how to work on it. I pray to the motorcycle mechanics as I walk into the carport to work on something. I live in the San Francisco Bay area and am thankful that one of my best friends is a mechanic. :D

I am hoping it will be easier to trip a traffic light with the 700s, I had a hell of a time with the smaller bikes.
