Greetings to All!

New (soon to be new) rider in Charlotte, NC about to take his MSF course and exited to begin feeling the wind trough his, wait... er... not hair.... um.... vented jacket! Yeah... that's it.

Thanks to so many of you for all the information I've gathered over the last few months while preparing myself for this new way of life.

Please check out my question in the New Riders forum specific to the Vulcan 500 I'll be buying soon. I could use your help.

Cheers,
MSH

Woohoo! A neighbor!! I am from Charlotte myself and a returning rider. I have to admit, I don't see myself I-85 or 77 ready for a very long time.

Nor do I goodies, not today. No way.
But after the MSF course and parking lot/neighborhood practice I expect that will change.... at least I485-wise.

My original intent was to commute to/from work to save gas, but the more I study and research this, many say that's only how it will start. Soon I'll end up finding (and making up) reasons to ride once it becomes FUN and will quite possibly enter a new, more free way of life. I'm counting on them being right, because that sounds real good to me.

Neighbor, eh? Where?

I live in Concord, but work in S. Charlotte. You?

485 isn't too bad.....yet. I agree the more your ride the more you want to. :)

Welcome,

My wife and I just took the course at CPCC in Charlotte it was a good time, and we learned alot. We live right outside Charlotte. We have only been riding since June and we love it. If you have any specific questions let me know.

Later,
Slim

Well - that's three so far. How many newbies does it take to form a Bike Club? Can you imagine it? A bunch of neophytes pooling their experiences.... a possible conversation:

"Dudes.. you know what I did today? I went from home to the Mall and back all by myself. One turn was a little hairy. Maybe taking it at 20 was too fast."

"Wow, man. Cool. I think tomorrow I'm going to try 485 for an exit or two - just to get a taste for the wind. Pass the chips, please."

"Honey, did you order those those matching frames for our MSF certificates? I think the chrome ones were better. Hey... did you see that motorcycle crash video on YouTube?"
