Wants to die at low speeds

I have an 81 cb750 that starts and idles fine and runs great at higher speeds but wants to die out at take off and lower speeds. Anyone know what it could be ?

Idle speed set too low?

I have set the idle speed higher but itd when I increase the throttle at take off or when I downshift to a lower gear that it wants to die. I was wondering if it might have something to do with the coil or the timing.
