virago on craigslist

So tomorrow is the evaluation portion of my BRC class. So far things are going well. Provided I pass I plan on getting a cruiser in the 250-500 range, so, I've been looking. Found this Yamaha Virago 535 on craigslist. What do you think?

Every person I know who has or had a Virago loved them. It looks to be in good condition in the picture.
If the bike is in good shape and clean and it fits you, it would be a good choice.

Toss out the free helmet, though. They only have a shelf-life of about 5 years, and you don't know how many times it has been dropped or knoced around. That's assuming that it fits and you want to wear what's been on a stranger's head.

Yep, I already have my own helmet.
Have all the other gear too. And since I passed my class this weekend, I will shortly have my license. Now just need the motorcycle and I'm set. I called and set up an appt. to check out the virago tomorrow night.

Well, bummer. Called to confirm the appt tonight, and he told me someone bought it. Oh well, back to craigslist and cycletrader.
