Hi all

I've not been on for a while but a quick update on how things are going is that I am riding for a different team to last season, but still in the same class. I cant ride anything else at 15 years old. It has turned out to be a good season for me so far, I am leading the Cup championship (Cup championship is for 14 to 16 year olds) and I am 3rd in the overall standings after 8 / 12 rounds. I still have not managed to win a race yet although I have come close. I was second at Oulton Park by 0.05 seconds after leading for half the race, it was a fun race to be in though

At the first race of our season I managed to get pole in qualifying in the rain but on raceday I jumped the start and had to do a ride through penalty, ooops! I was leading a race at a track called Snetterton and only had half a lap to go to get the win but my bike cut out on me Before the race, in the morning warm up session, the bike seized and I crashed at 133.3mph. Luckily I was ok but for some missing skin off my right hand.

I am racing at Cadwell Park this weekend which is one of my favourite tracks

C ya

Wow... one of the best threads on the forum & it didn't get a single reply before now... FOR SHAME!

Timmy, congrats on what I assume was a spectacular season for you. I hope the rest of the season went as well as the beginning.

BTW, those are some awesome action pics!

Cheers for the reply :D

I did have a really good year, I went on to win the Academy Cup championship, (for 14 - 16 year olds) and finished runner - up in the overall standings.

It all came down to the final round of the season at Brands Hatch. The championship was between me and the boy who won the championship. I had to win the race and hope the other guy was 3rd or worse. Things were looking good, I was fastest in practise, and qualyfied on the pole

I never got a great start and was 4th into turn one but was 3rd at the end of lap one, then I was leading at the end of lap two and was 1.5 seconds in the lead at the end of lap five. But then I pushed too hard and highsided out of contention on lap six......oh well, that's how it goes sometimes, now there's 2009 to think about :D

Here's a pic of me after I just got to the front and also a very short video clip of a race earlier in the year.

cheers

Good job! That's pretty impressive.
I love watching the 125's and the 250's. They are almost always more exciting to watch then the bigger bikes. A lot of really close racing in those classes.

Are you staying on the 125's for next year?
