Just wanted to introduce myself and give a great big THANKS to all who share on this forum. I'm delighted to have found this site and all the topics, questions and responses - so many apply to me!
After being a passenger for many years, my hubby's purchase of a sport bike convinced me that I wanted to learn to ride myself. I took the MSF course in June '07, bought my Rebel and am now closing in on 1000 miles.
I'm glad to have found so many of you willing to share your experiences, advice, tears & fears. I'm an older (50) beginning rider and all the posts help me to know I'm not the only one who questioned their bike/ability because of low tire pressure or is afraid to lean/countersteer into curves. It reinforces my belief that I have to do it at my own pace, and above all practice, practice, practice. Thanks again to all of you who offer encouragement, constructive criticism and your experience to those of us who are newbies.
