Yamaha Terra Pro Carb Prob.

Im working on a 88 TFP 350 Terra Pro. I got it from another mech. that rebuilt the top end of the quad. When he put it together it would start and run for a little bit then would die. Plus while it is running the carb overflows out the top two overflow vents (the ones on top of the carb). I think he hooked up the lines wrong, because on line went to the overflow on the bottom. The thing I am having a prob with is hooking up all of the lines to the carb, and what runs to the gov. Plus I was wondering what is the purpose of the gov. that is between the carb and the head. I dont have a manual for it and my boss is too cheap to get the factory service manual. So any info on where I can get a downloadable manual for it or if anyone can tell me how the lines run would be greatly appreciated.
