Passed the MSF Basic Course

Just wanted to tell everyone that I passed the BRC this weekend!!!! Happy Days!! I did pretty well, got dinged on going too slow around the curve and didn't stop fast enough...But I still passed!

It was fun, and I learned a lot. Looking through the curves was the toughest, but I think I finally got it on the down on the test portion, and had no problem looking to where i wanted to go.

I did the course in the rain, which made it interesting to say the least. I thought it was good because now I somewhat know what that's like. I would have liked to have more riding time during the course, but then again, it was only a 2-day course, and everyone probably wants that!

Now to find a bike. I've been looking, and saving!

I want to thank everyone on the site, whose posts I read, and then re-read to learn things. I think the best thing I picked up from here before taking he class was to look through the turns, listen to the instructors, especially during the test part, and most of all was to have fun! A big smile on the face really helps when you lift your feet up for the first time!!!

Thanks everyone!! :D

It's a great feeling, isn't it? Congrats to you!!

I completed mine two weekends ago and just today I went to the DMV for my endorsement! Since I had taken the written exam back in early August all I had to do was give 'em $15 and smile for the birdie. I'm legal and ready for the next step.

No bike yet... I'm eager to get one but have accepted it will happen when it's supposed to happen.

Thanks and congrats to you also msh-1156. It is a great feeling. I've been looking at bikes at night, and I was just reading about the vstar 950. I may have to wait for that one! It's sharp!

big bike for a rookie, but that's just me. I'm sticking to the 500-650cc range myself.

Congrats on passing, I did mine 4-5 months ago and have really been taken by riding. I am at the point where I am comfortable in most situations though the wind can still tighten me up a bit.
