Main Dangers on the road?

So, it's been said a thousand times "there are 2 types of biker, those that have come off, and those that are about to"

so, if you're yet to have that forst spill, or indeed if you already have, what do you think is most likely to be the cause?

Another road user, inexperience, overconfidence - a combination of all of these?

the biggest danger is other people. For some reason people are just to stupid to see a motorcycle. Around here we a have a major problem with people pulling out in front of people and then going slow.

to me... ice and gravel. I've wrecked because of the former seen one of the latter and have a friend with 2 pins in her arm because she hit gravel trying to get onto the freeway.

Well Id have to say for myself the first spills I had where from lack of experience and now Id have to say all the close calls are due to trying to avoid other drivers that are on cell phones, so they are not paying much attention in the first place.

i say other people for sure. trying to react to a stationary object on the road is easier than someone in another vehicle thats unpredictable. laying the bike down from hitting debry isnt as bad(most cases) as being hit by another larger vehicle at speeds.

but at the same time im always reading most accidents are the rider making a poor choice when turning and wrecking that way. but i think other vehicles do more damage making them worse of a situation to be in...

For me my first real road spill was due to complete carelessness on the cager's part - decided to turn out in front of me, from stationary, without indicators, or even checking her mirrors.....
