Someone Keyed My Bike Last Night

#1 Unread post by RockBottom »

Weirdest thing. I got ready to ride this morning and I saw a deep, two inch horizontal gash along the top of the air box. The thing is kept in my garage so the only time it could have happened was when I made a quick trip to the drug store last night. No chance I did something to PO someone off--there was no one behind me when I made a right turn into the parking lot, and no other cars in the lot at the time. I parked right by the door and noticed that two other cars were there when I left. Since it was dark, I didn't notice anything at the time.

The only explanation I have is the psychotic hostility that BMWs seem to inspire in a handful of crackers.

Sorry to hear that. It does say something about the materialistic society we have, heavily populated by shallow thinking and pathetically jealous nit-wits.
There is no such thing as a bad motorcycle.

That just sux. :x

My car got keyed once....I think it was because I was in my uniform that the punks mistook for a cop....
like you.....I parked...as I was leaving my car, another pulled in right beside mine....the parking lot was mostly empty....I went in to pick up something and came right back out.....that car was gone, but they left a horizontal scratch about 4 feet long.....

Can you fix the damage on your bike?

I'm going to try. Luckily (I guess), I have the paint and other stuff I need because I had to patch a few scuffs I got by wrecking during the ERC. I got an ounce or so of exact match paint from a BMW bike body specialist shop in Ohio.

Sorry to hear about your bike. It's pretty pathetic and angers the blood that morons do the things they do out of jealousy or resentment to those who have worked their tails off to afford the things they can. Somehow you have to keep hoping that their day will come.

Knock on wood I've never had my vehicles keyed. Then again, my stuff is always a bit banged up with some 'character'.

I hope you can clean the scratch up.

My boss said someone vandalized his Harley at work (a military base!) Broke off an antennae and turned on the electronics to run the battery down.

Oh, c'mon--none of the owners of THOSE cars would have done it. They would have their personal assistants do it.
