Greetings from the sunny South - Jacksonville, FL

Hey there folks! New to the site and thought I'd introduce myself. The name is Jim and I'm 53 years young. Married (for 33 years) and have 4 sons (all grown and gone), and 5 grandkids. I teach Commercial Vehicle Driving at Florida Community College here in Jacksonville. Started riding when I was 15 driving my 1970 Honda CL350 "Scrambler" around my folks back yard (wearing a dirt oval in the grass) as I was still to young to get my drivers license. Finally did and have been riding (off & on) since. There was a pretty long lag between my last bike (1981 Superglide FXE) and my current one which I bought in August. Of course Florida made the MSF Basic Riders course mandatory for new motorcycle endorsements so I had to take it (again) as they mistakenly dropped my motorcycle endorsement off my license
(unbeknownst to me at the time) when I renewed my CDL and Hazmat. (Too much for them to handle at one time I guess). Oh well...whats $250? It was a great refresher.
Looking forward to participating in the forum and swapping stories. Maybe get together with some that live close and go for some rides.
Jim
