4 Up On Bike

I witnessed four very stupid teenagers yesterday. The bike was a 79-80ish Honda CB and they crossed the highway as I was aproaching. One one on the handlebars, one on the tank(legs dangling), the driver, and one on the rear. This was the stupidest thing I've ever seen done on a bike. I felt like stopping to yell at the morons but they would probably crashed if the drivers attention was distracted. Why do some people do these things?

I hope a family member saw them and take the bike away. :x

This past Friday, the first full day of summer vacation for the kids around here, 4 of my daughter's classmates decided to all pile on a four wheeler and ride the trails through the woods. The driver on the gas tank, two on the seat, and one on the rear rack. No gear or even helmets. Then they hit a tree at 30mph. The driver, 13 yrs old, head hit the tree, was airlifted to the hospital, not sure if she'll make it. The others, 1 broken leg, 1 broken arm, and lots of cuts and bruises. Summer for them was over on the very first day. I don't blame the kids, I blame the parents. These machines are not toys.

I agree wholeheartedly. While I was mad at my dad at the time for not getting me a bike or atv, I can certainly understand his reasoning now.

Dont the parents ever read the little warning stickers. "This equipment is intended for people 16 years and up?" Kids are gonna do stupid things, I mean, they bear some responsibility, but the parents should know better.

Motorcyclist magazine has a photo sent in showing a family of nine getting on the family bike...in Afgahanistan. At least they have a reason. It's pretty hard to think of a good one over here.
