GL1200 CRUISE PROBLEM

I HAVE A 1987 GL1200. CRUISE PROBLEMS. THE CRUISE LIGHT IS ON BUT WHEN I ENGAGE, THE SET LIGHT GOES ON FOR ABOUT 1 SEC AND GOES OUT. IT DOESN'T ENGAGE. ????

Howdy, welcome to the forum. It sounds like one of the sensors isn't working so it shuts off the unit. They should be on the clutch and the brake. You can use a manual to find them.
It is considered rude to type all in capitals. Like you are yelling at someone.

Thanks for the info. I Didn't mean any disrespect. I'll check into that. I like using caps because it is easier for me to read. I wasn't shouting at you. Hope to have more conversations in the future.
