Hello. I recently bought a CB360 and the previous owner pretty much ripped all the wires from the bike out. Its only got a head light and tail light which I don't mind but the wiring is a mess. Also the tail light flicker a bit. I don't think I myself should even attempt the fix but i'm willing to pay for someones time that has the knowledge to get it done. I appreciate any help. Because this is a time-intensive job, you may want to try doing it yourself.
It may be a good idea to find yourself a newer harness that does not have brittle, cracked old wires and make it fit your old bike. I am doing this now with a newer Ninja 500 harness, to replace the abused old harness on my '82 Kawasaki. Once I had a print-out of both the '82 harness and the Ninja's harness in front of me, it wasn't hard to figure out how to do it.

Coffee-Brake is right. If you have to pay someone else to rewire the whole bike, it'll probably cost more than you paid for the CB360. While it's not an extremely difficult task (given a new harness and a schematic), it is a labor intensive and tedious job, which most shops will require you to pay dearly for.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback. I was hoping it wouldn't be such a big job but I'm pretty much new to bikes. I suppose this just means I'm gonna have to learn the right way. Again, thanks for the feedback and I love this forum. Its good to know there's quality knowledge just a click away when you need it.

Anyone know what the average cost of a harness is? I look on ebay and such and the price difference is so much so I cant get a good idea of the cost. Thanks, Eggs

You can go so far as to go to lots of custom bikes parts makers and order a "harness blank" but then you have to buy all the connectors. I'd look for a harness on Ebay from a bike from maybe 1995-on. The simpler the bike the better, as in, the fewer computerized parts and sensors, the better. That's why I'm using a Ninja 500. I'd look for a Ninja 500, Ninja 250, Rebel 250, any of the Nighthawks from those years, GS500...and don't pay too much. Don't pay more than $50, and don't bid on a harness with more than a couple cut wires.

This is a mind-boggling job but you can do it. Label everything with masking tape on both harnesses, lay out the new one on top of the bike and tape it down, and start taping things up to the part they'll hook to. You won't have some things, like a sidestand switch, so that will just hang free till you tuck it away.
Remember to get a diagram of the new harness from the same year as the harness's bike, and also get a diagram of your 360. It takes time, the ignition system may just blow your mind, rewiring mine sure is! There's help here, and likely on some vintage Honda forums, just jump in there and ask.
