newbie rider

#1 Unread post by Carol »

Hi Im a 45 year old female and this year i just started biking and loving it very much. I started with the honda rebel. It was O.k. but i live in the country and found it too light for the highway drives. So then I bought a 800cc Valcan classic used. It was soo much easier to ride, but it was an older model and anything over 100km would start to viberate. I now ride the honda spirit 750 And love it. I'm 5'4" and like the low ride. I also tested the honda VTX1300c . I liked this bike as well but found the reach to the handle bars a bit far. I wounder if anyone else had this problem and how they solved it.Cheers :D

:welcome: to TMW.

Glad you found a ride you like. :)

Have you asked the bike shop about using risers or having the handlebars changed?

Enjoy the forums.

Thanks for your reply. I have talked to the dealers and they say the same thing. This model I would have to buy risers and handle bar. I was woundering if anybody out there had to do the same for this model and would the ride still be as good to handle . Thanks :D
