What's even amazing is that they do that on 125 & 185 cc machines. And people here think a 250 cc bike is too small and under-powered.

Some of the comments on youtube "pee" me off. Sometimes a car doesn't make sense, especially when space and fuel is a concern.

Yea but us North Americans come in ... bigger sizes ... or is that just me?

Now that's a custom bike.

It has a windshield and shade. The other bike looked closed in too. It must rain there a lot.

ahem, are you asking me if I am a "Fat bastrd" such as you imply you are.................errrr...............yeah......have to admit it, I am.

However, considering even if the average Asian or East Indian native are smaller and lighter then us fat and overfed Westerners, you place three or more of them on a 125 or 185 and their combined weight will easily match and beat the average North American.

I think we here are rather obsessed with the idea that bigger and more powerful is better. Even I am guilty of that. Yeah I commute to work daily on a V45 (750 CC) Sabre and do lust after a V65 (1100 CC) or Suzuki 1250 Bandit or the Triumph ST, but if I was honest with myself, an old CM400 would do the trick just as nicely and at a cheaper cost.

When I was a motorcycle courier, I use to pride myself on how much I could load and carry on my bikes. Then I went to Singapore after graduating from BCIT and saw what they carried on their little 125's. Put me to shame to be honest. And last summer I was in the Philippines and those boys put the Singaporeans to shame.

I guess in really a matter of perspective and need. To us, a bike is at best a cheap form of personal transportation or a hobby. To many in world, a bike, even a 125 is a necessity, the most available and cheapest form of transportation of both people and goods.

Trust me it does. Those bikes are the main form of taxi service in the Philippines and a cheap one at that. Ten Peso's, less then a dollar will take you far. And considering that they are usually either 125's or 185's, the amount of cargo and weight they haul is bloody amazing.

Here is a shot of me on one last year, the guy carried not only myself, but my fiancée as well. A while both the driver and the fiancée are slight, you can see I am not light weight.

You and me both Viper. There are some truly ignorant no funs out there. Personally I'd love the ship their arses over to one of those poorer nations for about a month without any cash or credit cards and let them live native for awhile. Be a real education for the bastards.

Dang, just strap a 350 Chevy small block between two wheels, tie a seat on top, and get it over with.
