vulcan v-twin 800

Hey, names Josh.
I grew up on motorcross, you know, little quick sprint dirt bikes. Ive never driven anything else, and never more than 500cc. I am, however, about to get the above mentioned bike, and was wondering the opinion of others if this is to much for my first cruiser. Im 6'3, and about 220lbs. I figured being a bigger guy, it shouldnt be as bad. Any opinion is welcome!

You should be ok on that bike. Just remember a lot of the people you'll be sharing the road with have their heads up their a$$es. It seems they're trying to kill you.

A Kawasaki Vulcan 800 would be great.

I have a 2004 vulcan 800. carries my 5'8 210 lbs no problem at 75 mph. Just get used to the fact that when you roll the throttle, you're going to getty up and go.

Just brought it home!
LOVE IT!
timmings a little off, but thats an easy fix. Drives like a dream though. Very responsive. I think Im in love.

Congrats on getting the new to you bike.
Just my opinion only.
I would keep one thing in mind and it applies to any bike at some point. Yours is out of production. That meas that both the OEM maker and 3rd parties will cease to make accessories for it at some time. If you have one or two must have accessories get them sooner rather than later.
i.e. if Mustang or Corbin make a seat you really like, they may stop making it as demand goes down. Then its the used and "reconditioned" markets only.
My error was a good bike that few made accessories for in the first place. I'm no welder or machine builder so I'm at the mercy of others.

Yeah, I can second that last part. I almost had two people kill me the other day. One of the guys was on the wrong side of the road.
That's how I knew that I should probably start heading home.
