CREDIT CRISIS POLL: Buying a New or Used Bike in the future?

Q. Are you looking at buying a new or used bike in the future considering the current Credit Crisis environment?

With the world now in credit crisis mode, the stock markets bearish and oil and gas prices uncertain as jobs what will the future hold? I thought it would be interesting to have a poll based on your current thoughts and plans for the future.

Thanks for sharing your opinion!

You didn't have a choice for me. I'm planning on keeping my current bike until one of us dies  I like the utility of my retro UJM and I haven't seen anything from the manufacturers that would make me want to plunk down a large wad of cash to replace it.

I got new wheels in August, but sometime in the next year the Spouse Thingy will get a new bike. Well, most likely new, unless he runs across a used one he absolutely loves.

Mrs. Stark has Ural-on-the-brain, and will buy when we get the cash scraped together. Thinking it will be the 1-2 year timeframe. I'd also like a small (250cc) dual sport, but will look for a used beater. Nothing's getting bought around this household without cash in hand.

Tempted by two very different bikes; the Ducati 696 and the BMW F650GS twin. However, both are sorta in their first year of production, so I'll wait for the kinks to be ironed out (and for someone else to take the initial depreciation hit).
