cruising the states on a harley

#1 Unread post by twanne »

Hi,

I am a guy from Belgium and together with some friends, we have decided to go on a holiday to the states next summer. For two weeks we will rent a harley and visit NY, Boston, little bit of Canada, Niagara Falls, Washington DC.

The plan is to travel with our tent.

I would like to have some usefull tips for this journey, people who have done this before, places were we could stay, interesting things to visit in the neighbourhood??

Kind regards,

Antoon

The thing to do is check state parks. They always have camping areas with showers and fire pits. Check Google Maps and set up a routes that avoid the Interstate highway system, unless you like straight line, multi-lane, congested roads. Find a Army/Navy Surplus shop in whatever city you fly into to buy some of your supplies like an axe, mess kit, and the like. In other words plan your trip now, make your reservations now, take lots of pictures to share here, ride safe, and have a great time.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Always wear a helmet, eye protection, and protective clothing. Never ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

You should come to Texas. Hotter than Hell but great scenery. Especially the hill country around Austin.
(No commerical links in sig, thanks - Admin)
