Are Sidi Boots really worth this much?
Vertigo Corsa sale price
I mean, I'd never pay the list price for these boots - to me it would never be worth that much - $425, but at slightly less than $300 - well it could be worth it.
If they were the best boots I'd bought in my life - ever - and I'd virtually never need to replace them unless I crashed.
Oh, and more to the point of this thread... I like Olympia gloves, Olympia hurt my eyes nearly glowing greenish/yellow jacket and their pants (although I'd prefer lighter colored pants to the Rangers) and so far, and Joe Rocket boots.
But I'm unhappy with my Joe Rocket Meteor boots. Not that they aren't good boots, but in 8 or 9 months, 5,000 miles - the vibration has removed one of the screws and the soles are showing a lot of wear.
Now on the other side of that I have to say, 5,000 miles in a single year is more than some bikers put in two years. So, it may be that is on target for how long these boots should last.

I bought the boots cause they are the most comfortable I tried on. Most boots have an inner liner which is like a whole 'nother boot and that's just uncomfortable for me.
Plus they also have the venting for summer rides which makes it feel like you're barely wearing boots
Plus they matched my outfit!

Arai Profile helmet, Olympia Air Glide Blind-You-Neon-Yellow jacket, Olympia gloves (winter) or Shift Hybrid gloves(summer), leather overpants (Power trip, I think...for winter) or Icon Super Duty (summer) pants. I drop the ball when it comes to boots, I just wear a pair of Rockport walking boots. They're sturdy, over the ankle, and hold up as well, at least at low speed.

Hmmm. I've got 3 jackets, 4 pairs of pants, and a one piece suit (all textile) BMW, Olympia, and Rev'It gear. Then some kevlar jeans.
Also, two helmets, two pairs of boots, and more gloves than I can count.
My best recommendation is you go and try stuff on and sit on motorcycles wearing it, to make sure sleeve and cuff length is okay. If you find something you like in a shop, spend your money there (no harm in trying to talk them down, if you feel you must).
The key is finding something that is comfortable enough, easy to get into/out of, that you will ALWAYS wear it when you ride... does no good if half the time you leave it hanging in the garage.

Re: Gear
If you're looking at getting some really nice quality leather, give http://www.leatherup.com a look. Both my wife and I have jackets from there and they fit like a glove. Oh, did I mention under $100 each? They also have vests, chaps, gloves, etc.XB08 wrote:I am thinking about getting some relly good riding gear, what kind dose some of you riders use.
Yeah, it's a Harley. No, you can't drive it.
