Making plastic pretty

I dont like Mothers Back to Black, my personal experience is that it does not last. I dont like Armour All since it does have a long term drying tendencies, Im looking at shoe polish, motor oil or WD-40 - Any suggestions - PS I would prefer those of you who have had hands on experience with the product you are recommending. Thanks

I know it sounds weird but...my Harley (sold) used DOT 5 brake fluid, it is synthetic and does not eat paint. I spilled some on the black plastic controls and also on the blacked-out motor. I wiped it off but it left a black sheen on whatever it touched. So I wiped it all over everything the same way you would for armor all or back to black. It shone for months! And it never hurt the paint. The blacked out engine and all the plastics were still shiny and new-looking when I sold the bike.
Maybe that helps...
don't try it with DOT 3 or 4 because they will eat paint, just 5, blah blah blah....

I love Honda Spray. I use it everywhere on my bike and on my cage as well.
I like it so much I bought a case of it.
$5.99 a can. Will do your entire bike three or four times.
Every six months or so I will throw some paste wax on it just to preserve the shine.
