Which got me thinking about it and what I like.I get more fun riding my slow bike moderately quck than riding my fast bike moderately slow
I've rode lots of different bikes in my time, small cc, big cc, heavy, light, tall, short, different engine configuations, old bikes, new bikes, riding positions, seat heights, well, you name it. And each one is a little different than the other, just slightly so that you remember the good stuff about it and rose-color glasses the other not so good stuff. haha.
From my experience, a riding a slow bike moderately quick is more fun than riding a fast bike moderately slow. But riding the slow bike quick you hit it's limitations and sometimes want more than it can freely give. Riding a fast bike slow isn't much fun other than the occassional point and squirt, stop light GP or curve in the road, the majority of the time the bike WANTS to go faster than you legally are allowed to. Go faster and the fast bike is really happy, the slow bike, not as much. Go slow on the slow bike and you'll enjoy the scenery more.
So for me, it's on the slow bike quick side as I feel like I'm pushing the bike enough that I'm having a blast without speeding.
Now, what's a slow bike?
Even a 125cc motorcycle is not a slow bike, or a 20hp bike is not a slow bike. I, myself, call a slow bike is a bike that is most happist (and wants) to go, well, lower speeds and is happist at highway speeds. The majority of Cruisers fall within this catagory, although few I'd call "slow" in speed or acceleration; they just like to cruise around. On the other hand, few sportbikes fall into the "slow" catagory, they like to rip it up and inline-4's are almost purpose built for that.
Which one to you prefer? Riding a slow bike quick or a fast bike slow?
