Hello...is the Vulcan 500 a good first bike (I weigh 195 lbs and am 6"1" and live in mountainous terrain)...Are there any "nature of the beast problems" with this bike? He is asking 2,300...NADA quotes high average price as 1,540...what should a fair offer be?

Thx seatime

Are the tires new? Are the chain and sprocket new? Are all the brake pads new? In other words did the PO do all the maintenance, then sell the bike, or does the bike need these items looked at?

Those 500's are good bikes.
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Well I bought the Vulcan 500 you all were helping me out with...it was in darn near new condition.

Thanks for the emails...I am sure there are 1000 other questions I will have...
Heres a few...what do you use to get out scratches and what do you use on your seats to preserve them. What do you clean the tires and rims with?

thanks again guys.

rubing compound for shallow scratches. soap and water for tires...same for rims plus mothers and elbow grease.
