My helmet...

I'm not sure if anyone remembers me from last year, I think, my KZ400 burnt up.

Well, I'm in the market for a new bike, but some thing's been troubling me.

Ever since I took out the liner in my helmet, it hasn't fit the same as in the store (Or it's my imagination). When I put it on, it fits perfectly except my chin is touching the inside (It's a modular). I was wondering if it would still be safe for me to use this helmet or if I should go find a new one.

I kinda like the helmet, especially since I paid $200 for it...

Which model helmet? Did you get all the pieces snapped in securely?

It's a Nolan and it's together and all, I just don't remember my chin feeling up the foam on it.

Well, without the liner it's totally perfect, expect that it moves around a bit. Would it be a bad idea to trim down the liner?

I said Screw It and I'm giving it to my dad, I'll buy a new one later.

Since I wear glasses, and I have a real problem getting them on in those cramped full-face, would a motocross helmet suffice?

MX helmet will be noisy on the street. I'd shop around and find another modular. (Actually, I'd get contact lenses and sidestep the whole issue. 8) )

I have a Caberg Jutissimo GT, its a full face flip and is good for people with big ears like me or who wear glasses, as you can put your helmet on and arrange your ears/glasses before dropping down the flip.
The Caberg Jutissimo also has a built in internal sun visor which you can slip down when the need arrises, so no need for tinted visors.

Mte of mine has be riding for 26 years and also swears by the Caberg..
