jetted???!!!???

hey guys.

i was just wondering what jetted means? i hear that when you change a chain and sprocket it needs to be jetted. what exactly does that mean? thanks

it means to replace the main jet in a carbeurator. jets are small fuel metering devices prior to the venturi.
Usually if you start changing things like camshafts and exhausts you have to rejet to accomodate different airflow.
not sure you'd need to rejet after changing gears, the engine should run the same as it did before.

If the engine is running properly, changing sprockets won't affect that. All you will be doing is affecting the gear ratio which can affect maximum speed/excelleration etc. Changing things like the exhaust, removing the baffles etc, can certainly require rejetting to return the engine to optimum performance.
