To help make this an educational as well as entertaining forum, I'd like to invite owners of past or present to share their experiences (good and bad) with their Triumphs. It's a little more in depth than posting a picture on the "so ye have a triumph.." thread. Let us know what you liked and what you didn't. First hand reviews, yay! (I know it sounds like work, but it'll be fun, I promise  ) if not, you're all invited over for beer and venison steaks

I have never ridden a triumph...but have always appreciated their beauty.
Everyone I know who has or had one says the old ones are leaky, tempramental and need excessive amounts of maintenance. They also all love them...and the ones that dont have them anymore wish they had them back.

That said I am building this one for my stepson...actually we are building it...might give him something to do besides get into trouble.

So far I have noticed that like all old brit bikes the tranny and rear brake are on the wrong side...and this one has had a broken chain atleast once (busted metal on edge of crankcase.)

Plenty of work to do...will be fun.
