CB360 Carb Jets??

Hi everyone,

I am new this is my first post and wanted to say hi. I have a 1975 CB360 and need to get new jets for the carbs. I need to rejet the carbs to a not stock configuration. I know what the stock sizes are so I don't need that info, what I do need is where can I find jets and what jets (ie series number) do these carbs take. The bike has the stock Keihin carbs on it.

I need the main jets and the pilot jets. I believe the main jets are 99101-393 series but I have no idea what the pilot jets are?? They look like the N424-22's but when I measured the jets with a micrometer they didn't measure up to the specs listed for those jets. I got overall length = 21.5mm and diameter = 4mm. The specs listed for the N424-22's are overall length =28mm and diameter = 5.5mm??

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am running pod air filters and straight pipe exhaust. Thinking somewhere in the neighborhood of a 110 main and a 38 pilot to start with??

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks for the reply I have already checked out the site though. I need to know what series of pilot jets my carbs take. I know there are a lot of carb kits out there but they are all stock rebuilds and I don't need that.

I guess I need new jets too, does anyone know if KeiHin still makes jets that will fit those old 360T carbs? And how do I know if I have the mix right?

Well, I see sudco has a variety of different jets for main, slow, and pilot. How do I know what I need to rejet my bike and where should I start? I too am running straight pipes (as the baffels of my muffs are all gone and pulled out ) and understand that will cause my mix to be lean. I have seen on a site a spark plug that has a clear glass insulator for testing mix, apparently you can see through the plug to check the color of the flame. Has anyone heard anything about this? I just am looking for some info so I don't end up spending $100 on jets that I don't need just to find the one that works the best.

Just out of curiosity, can I just bore the jets I have out a little bit with a drillpress? That's all that's different about them right, that they have a bigger opening?

Shouldn't there be a fuel mix adjustment on the carb?

I have been told that the only jets in the 99101-369 class are chinese made and aren't worth their money. The tollerences for this engine are pretty tight and trying to rich the mix will make the engine run noticiably hotter. I have been told that any muff is better than strait pipes on this bike, only spec muffs will work propperly, but any muff will work, with a minor loss in perfomance and will not harm the engine. I have this information from a specialist in vintage honda repair.
