Yo...new (olderlike) biker here...need help from you young troopers. My neighbor gave me some high end crash bars...they don't fit my Vulcan 500 but he told me to have someone weld some brackets for them to the frame...does he know what he is talking about or should I pay 258.00 for the factory ready bars? I'd rather have the brackets welded but need advice from those of you that know...they are lovely things indeed. I reckon ya'll just prime over and spray paint the impacted area...huh?

are they engine guards or crash bars?

they are crash bars...I have located a chopper shop that is going to look at the job...these guys are good and will tell me if it is wopossible to mount the brackets...
