One piece or two?

So I'm still planning for my first long road trip and am in need of a dedicated rain suit. Question is do I go for a one piece suit or a two piece outfit.

I would assume that a one piece would eliminated any leaks that may come with a two piece and that a two piece would be easier to put on when caught in a sudden shower.

Any suggestions??

I like my two piece because if its to warm I can take the jacket off.

2 for sure

A two piece is more versatile than a one piece. Sometimes wet conditions don't warrant a full suit. I say get a two piece suit.

I can't say I've ever had leaks around the waist from using a 2 piece. The jacket comes way down over the waistband of the pants.

I can honestly say, after using a $12 target type rain suit, that a two piece will do as good as anything. The only problem with these type of rain suits is that they are usually plastic and you can tend to get really hot after awhile. On the plus side, they never leaked either!

sorry

Well thats what 12 dollors buys, plastic, I paid 60 for mine and it breaths well
in the summer and keeps me totally dry.

yeah, you get what you pay for. i for one absolutely love my two piece frogtoggs rainsuit. keeps me dry and breaths well. plus, like jstark said, the top comes down well past the waistband of the bottom so you get plenty of overlap.
