What can you do about the pop-ups? I have been loged in for 2 minuts and have had about 15 pop-ups.

Thanks

Well, I could get rid of the pop-ups, but then I'd have to replace them with something horrible... just don't ask.

Are you Hypnotiseable?

.... you are getting sleepy....

.... your eye lids are getting heavy....

.... you are now asleep and open to suggetions....

.....Pop-ups are good on Total Motorcycle...

.....You love the Pop-ups on Total Motorcycle...

.... You will love becoming an active member of the TMW community....

Ok, you are awake now. :D

I bet you don't mind TMW popups at all now! . :D

Seriously, I did reduce them by 50% last month from 3-4 a person per day to 1-2 per person per day. The most you should get from TMW is 1 or 2. If you are getting more than that, they are not coming from us as we only have 2 popup providers. They are a very necessary thing as they really do help pay for the bandwidth.

I can understand how attractive a pop-up blocker is to use. BUT please do consider the following:

- Popups/Popunder pay 1/3 of the income of Total Motorcycle to keep the site running each month. By blocking popups/unders it is harder to pay for the bills and to run the site due to less income.

There are browers out there that will block ALL ads (Banners, popups etc). While this may seem like a great idea, but it will kill many great sites out there like Total Motorcycle as we do not charge anything for our content and would not be able to pay for bandwidth to keep the site going.

Ads are how we keep Total Motorcycle free for motorcyclists worldwide.

So please consider allowing Total Motorcycle to show our ads (banners, popups etc) to you as without them, Total Motorcycle would not survive.

Thank you for your support and consideration.

Terminology...

I wonder how many newbies actually understand some of the posts written here? With terms like highside, lowside, airhead, false neutral, DOT, triple tree, squid.... how are they supposed to keep up? Why isn't there a glossary somewhere on the board that will help these people out. I've found a few online but mostly they are country or brand specific. Here are a few examples...
