Never owned a Victory so I can't say.

This is going to be an interesting poll.
I think they're both very good bikes but the Harley is my preference. I've never owned a Victory but I've ridden a Touring Cruiser and it was quite a nice ride.

I voted for the Victory, but the the V Rod & Street Rod almost swayed me the other way. Thing is all the Victory's are great looking bikes...

They both make nice bikes, but isn't this kind of like comparing Hyosung to Honda?

If I were in the market for a cruiser, I have to admit that Hammer spiked my interest a bit...one vote Victory.

I voted for HD, myself. While I do enjoy any company who goes against the leader in any field and is successful, HD makes more bikes that I'd want to own. The current line up of Victorys looks like they're trying to catch on and ride the "chopper" phase... not my cup of tea. On the other hand, HD is consistantly putting out the same bikes and letting the owners customize them.
For the record... I'll take a black Sportster 1200R, a black Street Rod (hubba hubba!), and a black FXDX Sport... thank you very much.

I would rather see the topic phrased Harley OR Victory. The vs. implies an adversarial situation, whereas a potential buyer has a choice. If I was going to spend the kind of $$$ needed for the likes of these two bikes, I would look at a Victory. From what I have seen, HD does an excellent job of marketing, and those who buy the cycles do the marketing for them. This is an advertisers dream. Unsolicited testimonials from those who have spent thousands of dollars to purchase the product.
If it is any indication, I check the eBay listings occasionally, and there are not that many Victories available, meaning that those who get them, keep them.
I would also like to see Indian and Excelsior-Henderson available. I am not sure what mistakes either of these two made, but in time they might return.

I had the opportunity to go and look at both brands last night. Very nice bikes! I've been wanting a Fat Boy since I was 16 and the 15th anniversay screamin' eagle edition is sweet! But then I went to the victory dealer in Ottawa. They had a Ness Signature Edition Vegas waiting to be picked up by the new owner.

That is one nice bike. I would have to ride both before making a decision. If I had the money and was looking for a cruiser I would have a hard time deciding. Can I have one of each?
BTW I thought that the Hammer would be the Victory bike the appealed to me the most. The rear tire looks gimmicky and I think it would affect the handling.
Cheers,
