I have a brother rider here that is riding a Titan Roadrunner, belt drive, 113ci S&S motor. The drive belt is very tight and squeeking pretty bad. He does not have a book on it so I was thinking I would use the same requirements for it that I have form my Harley FLHTCUI. Anyone have any idea if the Axel tourques belt tention and all would be close? I have all of the infor and specs. for most any harley....He could not get the Titan people to reply back to him with any information, I have not tried them but will once I leave here. But I would almost rafther rely on fewllow bikers for information from experience.

Thanks, Glenn

+1

Check for signs of wear and shearing, then if there is none, make sure the rear tire is aligned right. Sounds like it may be a little off, as in one side adjusted differently than the other.

I also can't find any specs for it so I'd go with Harley's V-Rod specs (seeing as the HP/TQ is more comparable than the regular Twin-Cam engine) (If they're different at all).

Yes I checked for wear and found nothing more than normal...only has 30K on the belt/bike. Yes it started after they (the owner and someone else) changed the tire. I realigned the drive belt and it was off a bit. I used the olde Harley Wire gage system measuring from the swingarm bolt center to the center of the axel. It is very close to perfectly stright. My concern now is belt tention. I used 10ibs upward pressure with 1/4 movement with bike on a lift and tire off the ground. it still seemed pretty tight to me once it was on the ground. It did not start sqeeking again until after about a 10 or fiften mile run. He says it is really making noice not. We will reajust Monday afternoon.

I will check the V-Rod limits.
