Played with a garage full of bikes . . .

Well, sort of. I told the guy at my local beemer dealership that I was interested in an oilhead. He had a pre-owned one in stock and dropped it over so I could try it out over the the weekend. He also dropped off an F800S if I wanted to try one out. I wasn't that interested in the S to be honest (maybe the ST, but he didn't have one of those). It was tons of fun though to ride up and down a few of my favorite roads, go back to the house, and try the same thing on a different bike. Felt very "motojournalisty" :)

PS, In the case of the R1150R, this was my first time to ride on a bike that was significantly bigger than mine. However, I still preferred it to the F800. I also thought it was easier to ride; the F800S was a bit too sporty for my taste. YMMV of course.

I know really. Not that I have a garage that could hold that many bikes. Sometimes my B-King feels so big that it seems to fill my garage. :)

I was pretty surprised, actually. I was just expecting to go to the dealership and take one out for half an hour or so. I guess the economy means dealers are willing to work harder.
