Hey guys, I recently purchased some rain gear from the local motorcyle shop. It is PVC material. After only wearing it once, there is a golfball sized hole in the right leg; a burn from the pipes. What rain gear would you guys recommend? Thanks for any recomendations.
Kinda 'spensive but, worth the $...

I bought my pants from HD. They have material over the PVC that protects the PVC from exhaust. I think I paid $60 or $75. There may be other manufactures but, HD is the only one I know for sure.

Not all motorcycle rain gear has "exhaust protection" - generally the pricier ones do. Gotta have a look at the lower legs when you're buying.

I had bought MOCO rain gear... I had a set from J&P, and they didn’t last worth crap, 2 seasons. I need to buy a new set. I have heard Sterns rain gear is good...

I have Frogg Toggs. If I rode a leg roaster like the one in your picture, I'd use this:

I have the First Gear Rainman pants. They seem to be holding up well. I've had them out a few times since I got them, and my header tends to get pretty hot. Plus, they fold up into their own storage bag.

Melted my Hundred Dollar HD rain pants. Left leg inside thigh and right leg above the ankle and they were suppose to be heat proof.
So I sewed on leather at those two spots, no issues now.

I've heard of this stuff called Frogg Togg. It's a heat resistant panel that glues onto the legs.

I tried that first, but it would not glue to the HD rain pants so I sewed the other stuff on...it works.
