01' GSXR 600 - Dead battery, take jump cables off, shuts off
I know I have a dead battery, but I thought you should be able to ride it anyway by jumping it off. I take the jumper cables off and the bike dies. ??

Two solutions I can think of...
1. Your battery is so dead it can't even transfer/temporarily hold electricity.
2. (Much more likely) Your charging system is dead. Meaning that you're not getting any electricity from your generator or your reg/rect is completely broken, letting electricity stay in A/C form and not charge the battery or run your electrical system.
Do you know how to use a multimeter? Are you any good with mechanical stuff? If not I'd take it to a friend who is or a shop.
