Hello all,
I just registered a few minutes ago. I'm French, aged 62, and retired since 1st of March. I was a civil servant in French Agency for Food safety.
First, I must apologize for my dramatically poor english, as a lot of Frenchies...

I'm very glad to join this open community where all the bikes and all the practices are welcome, and to read, share (and try to write about) topics I'm interested with.

I've been riding for seven years on a little Honda Shadow VTC 125, which gives me a lot of pleasure. However, we have felt (my wife and me) necessary to get a more powerful bike, not for speed, but for torque, because we are very , very often two on the bike... Then I purchased a used, but recent HD dyna FXDC 105th anniversary. But I must get a new license, after have taking lessons to sit for a hard examination. For the moment, I may ride only on private parking areas...

By the way, my father in law lives in Canada since he was retired. He lives In Duncan BC, a town between Victoria and Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. We shall visit him in a few months, maybe on September.

I'll try to add pics of my bikes in a next post.

Arnaud

Welcome from the Vancouver area of BC.

As for your "dramatically poor english", you could give some of our Southern Cousins a lesson or two. About the only thing you missed was the capitalization of the word English, but I will just put that down to typical French snobbery towards all things English.

Watch it, they're looking for cannon fodder for their army.

Welcome, Arnaud! Your English is very good, there is no need to apologise for it.

Bien venue a TMW. :)

You will love the Malahat highway between Victoria and Nanaimo.

Vancouver Island is a great place to go visit.

Sorry! Hmmm, may we consider it was a typewriting mistake?
