Hi,
I am new to the sight.
Have any of you had the frustration of buying a part for you motorbike and when it came time to install it not all the parts fit?
Yesterday I experienced that when I tried to attach the back seat rest on my Honda Shadow. After I opened the packages and carefully peeled out the screws and bolts etc I discovered that the 4bolts would not fit into the brackets that held the saddle bags away from the bike and the brackets for the backrest. I put all the parts in my saddle bags and went to the dealer that sold me the parts to see if they could install it. To my amazement they did not have the 4 bolts that I needed and sent me on a wild goose chase for over 1 hr. looking for a certain threaded bolt from different auto dealers! :frusty: When I got back to the shop no one would take responsibility for my problem. Finally after arguing for 15 minutes, one of the sales men got proactive and found some bolts that would work but had to be hack sawn off to fit. Having had all the runaround that afternoon,I was at the end of my self and asked them to install the brackets and the backrest. $50 and 1/2hr later I drove my bike
home.

Sounds about right. Your lucky that you didn't need a mill to make new spacers.

    Welcome to the forum.
