I love a good windshield

Guess I'm getting old but I find a good windshield just makes driving so much more enjoyable. I just picked up an 06 Honda 919 that came with a very small deflector that helped a bit but could only do so much. I found the one below and put it on yesterday. Magnificant difference. Riding is so much easier now. National Cycle product called a Plexiglass GT.

Hey, you are not getting old - you are just getting more sensible. I rode for years without a windshield (the old "wind in my face" excuse) until one day in my late 20's when I installed a cheap screen on my Sportster before heading out on a cross country trip. Every single bike I've owned since then has had a windshield on it.

I'm just the opposite.
Finally got out from behind a windshield and prefer it.
The fact that I wear a full face helmet may help, I suppose.

Dude, I'm from Saskatchewan. That's why I got a windshield in the first place.

Ha, that must be it. Its so windy here all the time that riding without a windshield doesn't seem to be any different!

I put a windshield on my 599 and could never ride without it now.
The wind is just too punishing for me.
I also love my topcase.
What other comfort items am I missing?

i rode with my windscreen once before remounting it... It was very comfortable. can't wait to ride now that i've remounted.
wish my left shift key would work...

I put a National Cycle Plexi 2 on my first bike back in 84 and have had a similar shield for all of my bikes since. About 10 years ago I picked up a smaller Slipstreamer Spitfire for summer use and now switch back to the Plexi 2 for winters here in NE Ohio. Best of both worlds, it's hard to beat the big Plexi 2 for winter cold and spring rain and the smaller Spitfire gives full wind in the face, arms, and hands and catches a lot less wind on the road than the big sail like Plexi does. Added the Givi top case about 5 years ago.

Huge bar end weights. Manic Salamander makes some and Twisted Throttle sells 'em. I love mine on my Hornet.
