BRC v. ERC Skills Test

I've heard that the scoring for the BRC and ERC skills test differ, but some sources say the requirements are lower for the BRC and some say they're higher (since the bikes are smaller and more manueverable). Any MSF instructors who can clear this up, or are you guys sworn to secrecy?

The standards are higher in the BRC. You have to do the u turn in less space and stop in less distance. Why? Probably because they didn't want people dropping their own bikes and complaining about the course
Anyway- the ERC is a great way to get paired to your motorcycle under the eyes of trained instructors. I highly recommend taking the BRC, riding for a month or two then taking the ERC. Once you have miles under your belt consider taking an advanced course like Lee Parks Total Control.
Sportbikes be on the lookout for the new Advanced RiderCourse—SportBike Techniques (ARC-ST) course instead of the ERC. It's the military sportbike course but for the public and is starting to be offered this year.

I took the ERC two months after the BRC. Ironically, I was sure I had passed the BRC but flunked (for going too slow) and was convinced I'd flunked the ERC but passed.

Honestly, not that I remember. But I got my card so I could ride to work on a military base.
